This article covers the global configurations of the Accessibility toolkit and the Accessibility review block which are outlined respectively in the Components article.

Installation

The Accessibility toolkit and the Accessibility review block are integrated with Moodle and come installed with Moodle 3.11 onwards.

Global configurations for the Accessibility toolkit tool plugin

To change the global configuration for the Accessibility toolkit tool, navigate to: Site administration > Plugins > Admin tools > Accessibility > Accessibility toolkit settings.

The global configurations are as follows:

  • Enable analysis requests: either disabled, or enabled for requesting course analysis.
  • Delete historical check results: delete the previous analysis records of courses that have since been reanalyzed.
  • Batch limit: sets the limit of analysis requests that can be processed at once periodically by scheduled tasks and by default is one-thousand.
  • Items to show per page: the number of items before pagination begin

The analysis request setting acts as an opt-in queue for courses to be analysed. This works by only processing courses which have been actively requested to be added to the queue for analysis. This queue of course ids is then analysed by the plugin’s general scheduled tasks and re-analysed whenever changes are made.

Global configurations for the Accessibility review block plugin

To change the global configurations for the Accessibility review block, navigate to: Site administration > Plugins > Blocks > Accessibility review.

The global configurations are as follows:

  • What to show on course page - how the heatmap displays:
    • Show both background colour and status icons.
    • Show background colouring only.
    • Show count icons only.
  • Display errors in this format: to display error amounts or percentages or emoticons.
  • Toolkit page to show - which toolkit initial page to link to, defaults to the checks list page and the options for individual pages are:
